Giomanach 0 Posted April 8, 2013 ^THIS IS RIGHT.ok, then what should be best to replace first? the dual core to a quad core or?
Blondedash 403 Posted April 8, 2013 (edited) ok, then what should be best to replace first? the dual core to a quad core or?ill look into that for you, quad definitely though if you want smooth frames. ill check the 550ti out also is your win7 32-bit? beatSTV 631 Posted April 8, 2013 32 is fine for 4gb RAM anymore and he would need 64bit, upgrade to a quad core first the 550ti should be ok for the time being but needs to be updated next. Your problem is that AM2+ socket is a bit restricted for quad cores, which means you'd have to update your mbo as well. if your dual core 7750 is a black edition you should be able to OC it to about 3.3ghz add some extra cooling and it will improve your FPS. If you go for a new mbo and cpu go for a AM3+ mbo and get a fx-4300 :)

beatSTV 631 Posted April 8, 2013 can you plz point out to me where his mobo is  why didn't I know.lol i just read up on his cpu it is am2+ compatable so i put 2 and 2 together :)also just done some research i think you may be able to but a AM3 processor into a AM2+ mbo i will look further into it if you can post me the full specs of your mbo

Mos1ey 6301 Posted April 8, 2013 can you plz point out to me where his mobo is  why didn't I know.He didn't list the mobo but I think you'd have a hard job finding a decent quad-core that's the same socket as an Athlon dual.Like Beat said, I'd go with a new motherboard and CPU combo first. The 550Ti isn't particularly bad and ARMA 2 can only use 2Gb RAM, so you should see a massive increase in performance with a new, better CPU.

Might be worth looking in to. :)
beatSTV 631 Posted April 8, 2013 (edited) right done my research if you have a AM2+ mbo you should be able to put a phenom II 650 X4 quad core @3.4ghz this will boost your performance no end.ram is so cheap these days it should'nt be a problem Edited April 8, 2013 by beatSTV
Serious Stan 202 Posted April 8, 2013 Simple solution is to go to your gfx driver settings and turn everything down ALOT, then you can turn settings up ingame. it should make it run a bit smoother.

Its the cpu which is his bottleneck, adjusting his driver settings will help but maybe for an extra 2-3 fps

xXGaM3RRXx 0 Posted April 10, 2013 Hey guys I've been playing DayZ for a few months now. When I first started playing DayZ I had decent frames, I could play on normal settings and a few weeks back I've had fps lag I don't know if it means that my PC is terrible or if its just DayZ. I hope I can play Dayz without this horrible lag.System Specs:Processor: Intel® Core i5-2450M CPU @ 2.50GHz Ram: 4GbSystem type: 64-bitGraphics card: Nvidia Geforce 610M Can someone please help me fix this :)
beatSTV 631 Posted April 10, 2013 i cant really comment as i lack the knowledge on laptops hopefully someone with a bit of experience will post on here and help you out. I will just say that it looks like your CPU clock speed is pretty low should be closer to the 3.0ghz mark however im not sure if that applies so much on laptops i presume it would.
