Hacker? Helicopters twisting, flipping, screen freeze while possible hacker joins

Hi all,

Recently, a player joined the game; and while getting the message that he joined: my game and all other player's games freezed for like 2 seconds.

Then, a team member of me got in heli and tried to take-off but the huey started freaking out like crazy: leaning right, twisting, flipping; everything.

So we wanted to be sure it was a hacker so we tested another heli, this time a littlebird: same problem.

We were thinking that the guy that joined was a hacker that made our screen freeze and our heli's freak out.

To fix the problem we banned the player and restarted the server: problem gone. everything fine again.

Another weird thing about it: when I banned him; he rejoined immediately. literally like 1 milisecond later. Like he had some sort of ani-kick hack.

But here's the strangest thing about the hole story: my server is whitelisted, so the possible hacker sent an email to the whitelist emailbox and I whitelisted him.

Then, when the possible hacking took place I banned him, and now he's sending me emails where he claims that he didn't do anything.

He sent like 3 emails already where he tries to explain that he's not a hacker......

But seriously, are there hackers out there that really take the efford to get whitelisted just on a small private hive whitelisted server?

If that's true, shit is going crazy. Even the whitelist can't hold'm down......

So, from your opinion: was he a hacker or not?

So you had no serious evidence that he was hacking? you just banned him? wow...

and the problem went away, maybe because of the restart?

since you think it was him i think he was the only one on the server except for the ones who own it.

You should not own a server mate, you make a terrible admin.

dude, there were 4 people on there so I don't get your point. Also one little detail: he's russian. so for me: 1 + 1 = 2.

I'm not racist or anything, but you know that most hackers come from russia.

EDIT: server is online for a long time, never had that issue. EVER. it's al little co-incidence isn't?

You should check your logs to see if there is any evidence of hacking.

Look around the Forums, you should find some info.
