Jono (DayZ) 1 Posted June 19, 2012 I'm not sure how long it takes to do something after it starts flashing - but last night it was somewhere between 2-3 mins I think, then you start to lose blood...at a rate of about 10 every 5 seconds or so, as I discovered last night. If you have a good supply of food (cooked meat) on you, then you can just keep topping up when you've lost 800 and carry on until you find a drink (or run out of food).
