mattldempsey 8 Posted April 4, 2013 A couple of months ago, it was obviously really easy to get good gear. Sometimes you could get it yourself but most of the time it was either duped or hacked in, influx of weapons not intended to be in the game.I heard over the last couple of months a lot has been dont to prevent this, especially duping. Has there been any noticeable difference whilst trying to obtain stuff? Duping isnt as prevalent as it once was but hacking is still pretty bad on public servers.Some private servers have modded loot tables and added barracks and crash sites so it would be very easy to get high grade gear.There are private 'vanilla' servers out there that are a bit more challenging to get high grade gear compared to the 2 mentioned above.Hope that helps. Heathcz 84 Posted April 5, 2013 Finding stuff across public hives is really easy in my opinion, Just go across some empty servers loot airfield and hurray you are geared up again. This is even more effective on night time servers where actually nobody plays, so there is all the stuff left behind. In terms of private hive with population more than 40 players its not that easy, however on those privates there is always an option to just go and find some tents which isnt that hard if you are a little bit experienced. Sw1ft 1 Posted April 6, 2013 If you want a more difficult survival experience try 2017. No military loot, sparse loot spawns, and nearly no canned food. Dying from dehydration or hunger is an actual concern early on.Our server runs a modified version of the 2017 mod for a unique play experience. We have basic starting gear, a bandage and a box of pain killers, no weapons, tools, etc. Custom AI squads patrolling the map hunting zombies and/or players. Full moon every night to aid in playing in the dark. Friendly and helpful admins. And a whitelist to help protect against hackers and script kiddies. You are more than welcome to join us.
