Could not find steam...

Recommended Posts

When i start Dayz commander, and go to settings, steam options, check both launch using steam and replace original with beta, because i want to have my steam overlay on in the game, so i can chat with my friends instead of minimizing dayz.

So, when i try joining a server a new window pops up where is says: "Could not find steam, Please adjust your options or check your steam installation.

I've tried to run steam as admin. Reinstall steam. reinstall DayZ and DayZ commander. reinstalled all updated for DayZ and Arma 2. none of em did work.

Please help me.

try doing this

1. Bring up the Start Menu

2. Right click on Computer, select Properties

3. Go to Advanced System Settings, select Environment Variables

But then you go to the "System variables" section

4. find the Variable named "Path"

5. Mark it, and click Edit

At the end of the existing string:

6. add ";" followed by the path to Steam.exe

for example ;c:/programfiles(x86)/steam/ (if win7/64 bit.)

At the end of "Path" it doesnt say steam it says:

C:\Program Files (x86)\AMD APP\bin\x86_64;C:\Program Files (x86)\AMD APP\bin\x86;C:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\PhysX\Common;%CommonProgramFiles%\Microsoft Shared\Windows Live;%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;%SYSTEMROOT%\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\;C:\Program Files (x86)\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\Core-Static

I dont see steam?!
