Patching necessities

Recommended Posts

Hi folks,

several installation gides out there most of the time suggest to install the latest beta patch from here:

http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php

If I do so, my DayZ install usually is labeled to be "out of date" in DayZ Commander even though my version number is at least 2 versions higher than said to be required there or than the versions which are running on servers.

So I'd like to know your opinion. Is it save to update to the latest beta patch (103419) or should I stick with the most common used build, which is 102591 at the moment?

Thanks and best regards, sincerely with best wishes, yours truly

Ken Bean

You shouldn't have any trouble using the latest update for Arma 2. I can't imagine why you would. In the worst case you can always go back to an older version if a server isn't up to date. DayZ commander is convenient like that.

beta patches are backwards compatible so if you have the latest one you can join any of the servers
