Failed to start game (missing executable)

Please can anyone help me ive tried all the different options to try and fix this problem, I can play all the other Arma and Arma2,operation arrowhead with no problem the only one is Day Z that doesnt work.I have purchased Arma complete from steam and downloaded it but when i go to play Day Z i get the error message "Failed to start game (missing executable)".

Please i really want to play this game ! Any help would be appreciated

you talking about the Arma 2: operations arrowhead one ?..i reinstalled all of them the only one i dont have is combined operations is that the one that lets me play Day Z ?

yeah but the missing executable is talking about the beta exe located in the expansions folder. steam launches combined operations by default now as long as you have started steam as admin and ran all the games to the menus at least once

when i open arrowhead beta..it says " Addon 'dayz_anim' requires 'CAVideo2_PMC'

and i dont even see that exe in the expansions folder..

if you start the arma2 oa and click the expansions on the main menu make sure the following is enabled

arma2

arma2 oa

arma2 baf lite

arma2 pmc lite

try creating a shortcut with the following as the target

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe" "-beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion" "-mod=C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2;Expansion;ca;@dayz" -nosplash

and the start in as

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\

these are for steam versions of the game installed to the main drive running 64 bit windows

sorry i dont know what you mean by creating a shortcut as the target ?

right click on your desktop and go to new then shortcut

where it says type the location of the item put the target i gave before in

then give it a name ie dayz :)

then right click on the shortcut you have just made and go to properties

where it says start in delete whats in there and put the start in line i gave you before

when i start this shortcut it says: addon'CA_communityConfigurationProject_E' requires addon 'CA_AIR_E_MQ9PredatorB'' i click ok  the game start i see the day z image and 30sec after this it says error bad serial number given in Setup what can i do??
