Zombie Aggressiveness

Recommended Posts

Can a private hive tune the way Zombies act. My buddy and I when I publics usually dont have to worry to much about zombies when we run toghether, but we started playing on a private hive and it seems we just cant keep em off of us. We sneak 30 meters into a town, we get into a courtyard and zombies from 100 meters out are aggroing on us. We spend the next 3 minutes killing 20 zombies or so with axes and we just keep aggroing more, we cant hide the bodie fast enough or move because we get overrunned. We dont have open mic's or comm's so I cant explain why we are getting attacked so much.

Your getting attacked because you smell yummy.

As far as I know you cannot edit the way zombies act without modifying dayz_code .... which would need to be distributed to each person who wanted to play.

Don't know about Zombie Behavior, but I'm pretty sure Private Hives can tweak the spawn rate.

Yeah, they should only be able to change the spawn rate. Are you playing on a map other than Chenarus? Or maybe a different version? That could be a factor. I know they made zeds brutal in DayZ+ and Origins.

Can they tweak the agro range because we are getting (pardon my mmo terms ) pulls from the equivlent of 2 blocks away with multiple adds and we are only using our axes. Or can they modify the axes to make more noise ?

Does having a vehicle affect the agro range (Besides driving and honking the horn) of zombies. I have at times sat in an open field with no zombies spawning, I park a car there and 5 minutes later I have zombies spawning.

Also does working with a teammate add to Zombie agro or spawn rate ?
