Recruitment is temporarily postponed 1-2 weeks until we train our existing members up to speed due to the high volume of members coming in. Please feel free to still send in an application, we will consider certain circumstances.

SWIFT - SILENT - DEADLY

4th Recon Battalion

Charlie Co.

4th Recon Battalion is currently recruiting for members to join our ranks. We are looking for individuals who thrive on team play, following orders, and who want to have fun doing so. We have a Marine rank structure within our clan and sometimes carry out operations in fireteam's depending on the situation and numbers. We do not expect people to call a higher rank "Sir" or anything like that, we just confide in the Rank system for structure, and for our tactical operations. Our main goal is to HAVE FUN!!

We use Teamwork Coordination, and Tactics to get the job done, no matter what the objective. We do not portray ourselves as bandits, we try to act friendly and to help others but with the hostility we get in return most of the time we have to protect ourselves and our members above else if the situation calls for it. We us tactics to Securing objectives, Loot, Vehicles, and the like. We will use lethal force when necessary if it hampers our objective or we feel a threat towards our unit and alternatives cannot be given.

We do prefer you use TS, have a mic, and be over 16 years of age. If you have questions please feel free to contact me.

I recommend you check us out if you want a safe, fun, and exciting place to play.

<<<<1>>>>

Charlie company of 1st Battalion, 4th Recon was about to wrap up their tour in Iraq and return home to San Antonio Texas, when the unforgettable news footage began flooding in. A viral outbreak had occurred back home and was slowly consuming the nation. Charlie's Company's colleagues in Bravo Company had been deployed to the front lines from Georgia to assist in Colorado as the mission, code name: “WarZ”, broke out. The infection that had occurred had started spreading worldwide and before long, Charlie company was quickly moved onto a ship for transport back to the US. Upon arrival, Charlie linked up with Bravo Company to help secure Atlanta.

As the situation deteriorated, 4th Recon's HQ was overrun. As the evacuation order was sounded, officers from Battalion and Company headquarters poured out of the building, only to meet the ravenous mobs of zombies that surrounded it. H&S Company fought long and hard to defend their superiors, but all were inevitably killed--including Bravo Company's commanding officer. His final order issued stated that the remaining assets were to be packed aboard helicopters and sent to secure Dobbins Inn-Air Force Base for evacuation of civilians. Upon their arrival, they themselves were ordered onto troop transports for redeployment to the West Coast--the remnants of the 4th Recon were being sent to California with everyone else.

As the troop transports fired up and began elephant walking down the runway, the 4th recon jumped in two of the last remaining planes not yet moving down the tarmac. They were Antonov An-225s, the largest plane ever made--and two of only a handful ever completed. Bravo Company ran towards one, while Charlie Company sprinted towards the other. The loadmaster nearly exploded with rage as the marines from Charlie began shoving large boxes marked "Origin" off the plane, but his protests were met with hard stares and rifle muzzles in his face. The pilots were much more compliant and had no qualms with getting the hell out of there. The pilot flicked on the engines, and the massive plane began to lurch toward the runway. With the loadmaster appeased that they had removed enough weight to fly, members of Charlie Company waved to the members of Bravo company in the plane behind them as the ramp closed.

<<<<2>>>>

Not long into the flight, a distress signal was received from Army assets in Colorado. The decision was made to briefly land to pick up survivors of a stranded Army unit. The approach into the nearest airstrip was dangerous. It had been designed for civil aircraft, and was not constructed for planes as large as Antonov An-225s. The first plane to approach the airstrip grazed the treetops as it came in, but made a successful landing and Bravo company immediately exited the plane and began to clear the airport. The second plane was not so fortunate, and came in too low. A massive fireball erupted and illuminated the surrounding area. The plane broke apart like a child's toy and rumbled to a halt near the beginning of the runway. Bravo company immediately moved in to rescue the remaining survivors. Charlie company had endured considerable losses, including their Commanding officers. The highest ranking survivor was 1st Sgt Prime, and he quickly went about organizing the others.

The CO had not forgotten the army camp, and immediately after stabilizing the wounded, he organized the remaining members of 1st Squad and prepared them to move out toward Camp Splinter. Unable to make radio contact with anyone in the area; 2nd Lt. Watson took charge of the remaining troops and had them secure the airport and set up a defensive perimeter. With that underway, the 2nd Lt. rushed to the control tower to find a map and set up snipers to conduct overwatch of the airport. Meanwhile, 1st Sgt Prime took a small fireteam back to the crash to see if any other survivors could be found or if any more supplies could be salvaged.

1st Squad’s objective took them north through the Whitestone Mountain pass, toward Boulder City. The decision was made by the CO to avoid Boulder City, due to their lack of supplies, reduced strength, and the number of zombies encompassing the city. They moved northeast toward Camp Splinter, which appeared to be deserted upon closer inspection.

Not wanting to have landed for nothing, 1st Squad advanced into Camp Splinter and found a small group of soldiers barricaded in a tower. After securing any remaining supplies in the outpost, the Splinter Camp survivors provided 1st Squad a location for the Blue Ridge settlement up North, and they began their trek.

Along the way, the Army survivors recounted on how they had heard a plane fly over earlier, and having witnessed the fireball, they mistakenly interpreted their rescuers as the victims of the crash--Maritato, careful not to inform them of the remaining plane, told them that they were all that was left.

After escorting the Army survivors to Blue Ridge, the Army survivors gave Bravo Company’s CO valuable intel, including information about another survivor settlement to the east, known as Goblin Peak, as well as another to the south, Castle Pines. The CO was also informed that there were bandit groups in the area, pillaging and murdering innocent survivors. 1st Lt. Maritato turned his squad around and doubled back to the airport. He was able to radio his platoon leader, informing him of the locations of outposts and of the bandits in the area. For now, they had only one objective--to secure the remaining plane until they received orders.

<<<<3>>>>

While stationed in Colorado both companies suffered heavy losses fighting through hordes of Zed’s and mass bandit faction’s trying to survive. Through the pandemonium they fought side by side. They scavenged food; secured civilians, and gathered numerous supplies but the outbreak needed more marines if Colorado was to outlast the outbreak--no one was coming to rescue them.

After months of battle, the worn and tired Marines finally received news from CENTCOM. Camp Pendleton had been swarmed, and California was no longer the destination. The continental United States was, for the most part, completely overrun (minus a few isolated pockets of resistance). This radio transmission offered the marines of 4th recon their first glimpse of the larger situation since leaving Georgia.

Hawaii had become the new headquarters for the United States Government and the Department of Defence, and was declared a safe haven for all international representatives of their respective governments. As a series of islands, Hawaii possessed strong strategic importance in the fight against the zombies. The spread of the infection proved that the zombies could traverse entire continents unimpeded by most obstacles--except for the oceans. The strong currents surrounding the land eliminated any possibility of the zombies being able to successfully navigate out into the oceans in the correct direction. The current would inevitabley turn them or pick them up and sweep them out into the open water. The channels separating the islands provided a protective barrier--albeit a temporary one. Should the infection compromise one island, that island could be quarantined and evacuated, and the remaining survivors could instead occupy one of the other islands until the original had been cleared.

Though still scenically beautiful, the social and political ideals of the region had changed dramatically. What had once been beautiful stretches of white sand beaches, now stood solid concrete barriers and guard towers. Search lights scanned the surf eternally. Anyone showing signs of infection were to be immediately executed--no questions asked. Anyone incapable of obeying the law would be packed aboard a ship and sent back to the mainland. There would be no excuse for failure to keep this last bastion of (relative) humanity secure. Any and all available units were to be sent to Hawaii to regroup and rearm, and would soon be reassigned.

<<<<4>>>>

With only one transport remaining, and with limited fuel and weight allowance, only a handful of people could make the journey. It was decided that Charlie company, having already lost more members in the crash (as well as having previously been deployed in Iraq) would be sent to Hawaii for some R&R. All extra fuel was loaded aboard the plane, and any non-essential equipment was stripped and discarded or left with Bravo.

After the An-225 was loaded to a dangerous but seemingly useable condition, 1st Lt. A. Maritato gathered the rest of Charlie Co. and told them their assignment. They had received special orders from Command. Charlie company was to fly to an outpost in Eastern Russia to extract VIPs. Comprised mostly of politicians, military officers, and NATO representatives, these individuals were needed immediately in Hawaii to aid in the global effort to eradicate the zombies. The trip would exceed the plane's normal range indefinitely, and even with the modifications made to the plane, the trip would be perilous. However, not a single person hesitated to accept the precarious mission.

Charlie was to depart in the remaining An-225 after Bravo re-secured the airstrip--they could not risk the zombies damaging their only method of transportation. With Sgt. J. Camel piloting the behemoth , 1st Sgt. J. Prime was assigned to take Charlie Co. back overseas where they hoped escape the infection to gather more marines and supplies then return as soon as they could. PFC S. Hapone shuffled Charlie Co. onto the An-225 quickly and the entire company boarded the plane. Sitting at the end of the runway as the engines began humming to life, 1st. Lt. Maritato and 2nd Lt. C. Watson bid farewell in their calm demeanour as the battle raged around them. Members of Bravo chirped and chimed "Have a nice vacation!", "Enjoy Hawaii!", "Send me a postcard!" all while battling the hoards surrounding the airport. No one indicated how worried they were for their brothers in Charlie company.

Sgt. J. Camel and 1st Sgt. J. Prime flicked out their cig’s and strolled up the with gate immediately closing behind them. The massive transport fired up and the signal was given. The roar of the turbines signified there was no turning back as they barrelled down the runway inadvertently attracting a plethora of zombies onto their Bravo brethren on the ground still fighting. They were off.

<<<<5>>>>

As the Charlie flew overseas the storms became increasingly worse. PFC C. Koplar gave the directions on a handheld GPS, as the cockpits navigation panel had blacked out. The weather was beating the massive plane out of the sky and back down to earth.

PFC. C. Koplar suggested they should soon begin the decent to the airstrip. As they dropped below the clouds they couldn’t make out any sign of land and quickly knew something was wrong. The storm must have interfered with the GPS as the battered plane now stared down at it’s inevitable fate. The dark ocean that stretched off into the distance was all to be seen, but suddenly PFC. C. Koplar made out a single land mass in the distance. With the plane running on fumes and utilizing a dead instrument panel the violent turbulence battering the plane left them no choice. PFC S. Hapone ordered the gear be packed, the men to adorn shoots, and the evacuation to be made. The gates went down and the Marines went out to be swallowed into the night sky.

For the first time in months, the Marines of Charlie company felt at home as they plummeted through the water, cut their shoots, and began to regroup. They inflated their emergency raft and began paddling towards the landmass.

After moments on the island, Charlie company realized this island did not escape the hell of the outbreak. They quickly regrouped their supplies and made their way inland to continue a life of hunting and gathering, fighting bandits, and dealing with the infected. Realizing all the horrific events that had unfolded in Colorado were about to start anew, they immediately sought to find out their location. Their frustration was clear, as they repeatedly hit their already broken GPS. The screen flickered to static and the picture was distorted, the coordinates changed sporadically. The only thing that could be determined was the name of the region, which 1st Sgt. Prime read aloud. "Chernarus"...

- Day 1 "Storming of beach Bravo" -

The day prior to the main forces landing, a search party was organized to start from Cherno to find a vehicle for transportation the team. After landing on the beach the team of Sgt. J. Camel, Pvt. K. Blob, Pvt. A. Hornsey, and PFC. C. Koplar made their way inland. The quickly gathered materials for vehicles, Guns and ammo, and some perishables to keep them trucking. The head towards Balota from known location Cherno and head N. E. from the shore to take the treeline for cover. as K. Blob is looting, J. Camel and C. Koplar take a vantage point atop of the hospital. No sooner does C. Koplar put his bi-pod on the side of the roof of his high caliber AS50 does he see multiple contacts fighting inside of the school building across the way. He waits patiently until one contact neutralizes the other, before the victory even occurs in the bandits head who just emerged triumphant in the school does C. Koplar let out a slow seemingly rehearsed breath does the unforgettable sound of thunder echo across Cherno as it briefly silences. Pink mist erupts from the contacts skull as the bullet takes its toll, Contact down is heard on the comm's. Climbing down the ladder J. Camel guards his sniper Koplar from zombies as they head to the school to recover gear from targets.

As they approach inside from the South, K. Blob enters from the West, and A. Hornsey enters from the East entrance, blocking off the escape route freedom for anyone still remaining in the building. Clearing each room as they sweep up to the roof all checks out "All clear " is called by C. Koplar who reaches objective first as targets gear is recovered. Handing the M4A1 CCO over to K. Blob from C. Koplar's kill just added to the firepower of the fireteam.

Just as they exit the school, the faint and frightening sound of blades slicing through air in a rhythmic pattern puts a chill down their spine. "HUEY INBOUND, TAKE COVER, TAKE COVER" is heard as Camel yells out. They run to the supermarket as it fly's by. As it gets faint they all move and position themselves on the back wall to get ready to unload everything they have into the chopper. It circles back, "Open fire!!" as the red hot smoking shells rain down around them, a 10 second nonstop barrage commences, as K. Blob yells out "I Got one of the gunners!" watching his body crash to earth, The unmistakable thump of the 50 cal. SAW opens up from the chopper, it hits the concrete wall, missing all of his shots. All of a sudden a second volley comes back from the 50 Cal. SAW and A. Horsey drops lifeless to the ground. Time freezes and we all knew what must be done, Clips reloaded we aimed for vengeance, Pinned down, out gunned, and pissed off.

The second barrage was that much more effective against the chopper. The Smoke coming from the chopper, C. Koplar takes another slow and timed breath with bullets seemingly freezing in time as they whiz through the air having complete focus he pulls the trigger one last time.......That's all it took. The chopper suddenly nose dive's, the occupants try to eject but its to late. C. Koplar looks over to us and says "Fuckin' got em' choppers down" . We pull the mags from A. Hornsey's body and keep moving. Looting the Corpse of the pilot, and occupants dead at the crash while taking fire, we loot and scoot to the N.E woods. We are in route to Balota, and nobody's stoppin' us/

Definitely come in Watson. They have some medic teams recruiting. And for example the other day were hanging in Elektro hospital handing out medical gear, food, running to people and helping them out if nearby. But the medic teams are legit. Pro fliers and medics (that can not only heal, but shoot and protect when needed).
