I haven't made a post in a while, guys, but I though this would be an interesting thing to talk about. I'm a hero. I've become one by going on servers, just playing, and being as much as a fair and decent player as possible. When I finally got the hero skin, I thought it looked so bad assed, and all the perks (like the bullet-proof vest) were the shit. Then people, seeing my hero skin, thought I was bandit hunter, or vice-versa, the bandits coming after me. I can't tell you the countless times I've enter a large city, or someplace like the NWAF, people hear about it, and I get flooded with requests to track down a bandit that just killed them. Has anyone else had this problem, if so, comment below your stories!

Aye, I've healed most of the people on there, except the bandits, of course.

==snip==

I know exactly how you feel.

I had a really hard time getting the hero skin for 2 reasons:

9/10 of the players I meet are assholes, and if they shoot me I have to restart, or if I shoot them, I lose humanity.

Shooting bandits sets your humanity back, which I do.

I remember the second time I achieved a hero skin, what happened was...

So I got my skin, and I was near Elektrovodsk. Someone in the side chat is like, "Ohmygodohmygodohmygod someone is shooting at the Church help please!!" very genuinely freaked out, not squeaky 5 year old being a pissant.

So I go into the fire station diagonal from the Church and head up to the roof (sadly I used the wall-ladder glitch, sorry) and pulled my handy-dandy DMR out.

The guy's freakout was an understatement.

An Icarus (is that the big blue bus?) got rammed into the doorway of the bus, and was somehow sideways. There were at least 3 people trapped inside, and a messload of bandits shooting at the car/people inside. It was really weird, listening to the "KLACK KLACK KLACK" of a bandit gang firing AKs full auto, followed by pathetic little "Pew, pew!" as pistols and Remingtons were fired back.

Well all these bandits have their backs turned to me. I decide to be nice, and throw a flare at them, which got them to disperse/kind of look for cover. I shot the easy targets (ones with their backs to me), then layed down to hide/avoid zombie detection. At some point, one (or more?) players joined the fight on my team, and started killing bandits, but I never saw them. When I stood back up, all the bandits were dead or gone, same with the mysterious player(s?) that had joined the fight with me.

The Icarus exploded. Bambi death scream insert here. I got down off the firestation and to the Church. "Don't worry, the bandits are gone" or some schmuck like that. The 2 survivors walked out with their tiny little guns bleeding and near-dead. The third survivor crawled out, and had to be morphined. There were a couple dead bodies in the church I felt bad about not saving... but I didn't feel bad about the gear I looted off said bodies as my just reward. The three survivors had several, "OMGthxkbye"'s to share, which was nice, but a bit annoying. They followed be around Elektro, and out into the woods until I had to log off.

I didn't think until now that I should have said, "I didn't do it alone." In fact, it didn't even cross my mind to say, "No thanks required!" It felt really good to have three people adore me for the next half hour.

nice story.

Do you mean that in the obligatory asshole manner of, "Cool story, bro?" or are you being sincere? You know how the internet is, with its small children and giant assholes.

Really sucks when you get called to help a guy, and he dies right as you approach him. As for bandit-bounty hunter, I don't neccesarily kill bandits outright. I normally just avoid them or incapacitate them.

I haven't checked this thread in a while, but thanks to everyone for checking it out, and giving it good marks! I love to see all of everyone's Hero stories, but sadly, I had to get rid of it, because whenever I logged in, I spawned at the coast, or fell to my death over the ocean.

Well I have no idea what happens when you're a hero as you might of guessed because of what my signature says.

Being a hero I tend to get extremely bloodthirsty, after you've been helping people out for a while you start to itch to shoot something. It just so happens bandits scratch that itch.
