Hurricane/paraffin lamps.

Recommended Posts

Did a quick search but found nothing specifically pertaining to them.

My apologies if the suggestion has already been raised.

Pros - Obvious, really. Give limited range of vision when in darkness.

Can be used to signal choppers, etc. like a flare.

Cons - Will likely attract unwanted attention but might be useful as a decoy/trap if left sitting somewhere and then the area is watched from a distance.

Need matches to light one.

(I toyed with the idea of being able to throw them like a Molotov with a limited chance of setting fire to the target...But 'meh'.)

Thoughts?

How many hurricanes does the mother land normally receive a year?

They're also called barn lamps in some parts. I understand there are plenty of those in the mother land.

Also, the flame (and therefore brightness is adjustable to a certain extent).

I made the suggestion because I thought it might add variety to the game. If the idea is impractical or not really worth bothering with then it's no biggie.
