Battleye Error...new install

Hi, I've reinstalled the Steam ArmA2 & OA on a new computer, however, when I try to join a server battleye doesn't allow it. It's been nearly a year since I installed DayZ, so I've forgotten the tedious procedure on how to get it working.

Anyone point me in the right direction? Cheers.

What error do you get when BE kicks you?

Bad version, server rejected connection. The files are upto date. What is this about restarting battleye? How do you do it?

Any ideas guys? Really could do with help. Maybe a step by step guide.

Additional info, upon redownloading A2 & OA, I changed name. Could that effect it? Some games you have to stick with the name you chose upon registering, is this the case in Arma?

Have you tried uninstalling and then reinstalling BE through Steam?

I can't find the option to do that. Where would it be?

Looking at Steam there is no 'reinstall battleye' option like there was on the other PC I had the game installed.

Really could do with help on this guys, please.

If you are running game via Steam

Uninstall Battle Eye within program files

Then reinstall via Steam

There doesn't appear to be the option to reinstall it. Does BE come with Steam or does it come with Arma2?

Arma2 but the option to reinstall via steam install of the game

Try running steam as Admin and resinstalling the battleye files

Alternatively, you could try by uninstalling and deleting the Battleye folders in the C:/program files/steam/steamapps/common/arma 2 and arma 2:OA folders and going to the BESetup folder that should be in your Arma 2 folders and installing Battleye from the setup file in there.

If that does not work - manually input the files into the expansion folder

One additional bit of info that may have an effect.... I changed my in game name, on the old PC I called myself Rapid12, & on the new one I changed it, would that cause these issues?

Na. changing player name should not cause this problem
