Banned? Why?

I played Taviana maybe a month ago just fine then stopped playing. Now when i try to login now it says "You were kicked off the game. (battlEye: Global Ban #d8417b)"

Read the stickies. Either you cheated or someone used your cd-key and cheated. Either way you won't play Arma 2 for a while.

You could have downloaded something masked as a tool or whatever for DayZ that accessed your registry and stole the key.

Have you downloaded anything that could be suspicious? Also; where did you get your key from? Some shady sites just sell stolen keys.

Then you should contact Battleye. Be patient and be polite.

Again: Go to www.battleye.com, read the FAQ and mail them for support. If it indeed was a faulty ban they will overturn it but it might take some time to even get an answer as I think you can imagine that they get a lot of requests about this.
