Locked servers?

What is the policy on locked servers? Today when browsing for 1.7.1.2 servers I came across one which had 1/32 players and was locked. Seems kind of lame to me that people can just run around solo on a locked server and kit up.

Firstly, i love you for actually telling me 1.7.1.2 is out.

Secondly, take screenshots & post them in server thread if its common on same servers. Normally it's people gathering loot

Will do. So I assume locked servers are a no no then? Even the ones that are like 12/30 or whatever could all be friends. Are locked servers in general permitted?

If the version is rolling over did you ever think that maybe they were ensuring the server was stable before letting the masses in?

Unless the server was locked for hours at a time, I don't think it's a big issue. They could've been testing the patch.

I should not have called out the server. I edited it out. My question is just about locked servers in general and if they are suppose to exist. I've seen them every day not just today with the new patch.

Not a big issue unless it goes on for hours. Sometimes they automatically locked due to a specific program... Which I forgot what it was called.

Locking/passwording servers are against server hosting rules' date=' and need to be reported.

It's just a parameter within BEC that will prevent flooding. :)
