Schedule File Issue...

Recommended Posts

If anyone here is familiar with BEC / Battleye and making the Schedule file displayer server messages could you take a look at this please?

The restart part works fine but the server messages don't display on the server. Our host said part of our Config file was incorrect and fixed it today so BEC is now definitely speaking to the server but still no server messages.

Thanks in advance.

Probably good to also know it used to work perfectly fine all up until our last server update for the new dayz patch. Tried 4-5 different Schedule files and all restart but don't run the messages :(

Well I thought it was sorted but apparently we still don't have any of the server messages coming up. I'll double check and report back here after 6pm.

The loop confuses me. Maybe that's the issue lol (Just swapped them all to 0 to see if it runs a full cycle)

Pretty sure this has sorted it.Not witnessed the server restart warnings yet but all the other messages now work fine.

Hopefully it's sorted now. Thanks for all those who helped :thumbsup:

Haha just looked at my quote above and noticed where I've been going wrong and how it certainly won't work. I didn't add a delay!

It's actually quite simple but only now I've realised my mistake haha

Can't believe it after all that effort last night it's still coming up with a bad time value error. maybe final :00 isn't required?

Ok apparently it's still not sorted,Jeez how hard can it be haha, If someone can please check the last quote for my Schedule file and see what I've done wrong? The first 3 work fine just running at a 8min repeated message but the rest of them just bring up the error...

Schedule with job id=4 has bad time value.

Goes from Id=4 all the way to the end.

try removing the seconds from your time

as i said before bec have changed the way the time is inputted a few times in the last couple of releases

ie

<job id="3">

<time>10:55</time>

<delay>000000</delay>

<day>1,2,3,4,5,6,7</day>

<loop>0</loop>

<cmd>say -1 Server will Auto restart in 5 min</cmd>

<cmdtype>0</cmdtype>

</job>

Reply from BEC support...

Hi.

you are missing the <delay> tag at some jobs.. also you misuse the <delay> tag in places. do not use 00:00:00 on the <delay> tag.

The <delay> tag also doesnt work with Time method2 ("HH:MM:SS") it only works with method 1 ("HHMMSS")

http://www.ibattle.o...-the-scheduler/

Example:

** THIS IS OK **

<job id="5">

<time>05:55:00</time>

<delay>000000</delay>

<day>1,2,3,4,5,6,7</day>

<loop>0</loop>

<cmd>say -1 Server will restart in 5 minutes!</cmd>

<cmdtype>0</cmdtype>

</job>

** THIS IS BAD

<job id="5">

<time>05:55:00</time>

<delay>00:00:00</delay>

<day>1,2,3,4,5,6,7</day>

<loop>0</loop>

<cmd>say -1 Server will restart in 5 minutes!</cmd>

<cmdtype>0</cmdtype>

</job>

** THIS IS OK

<job id="5">

<time>013000</time>

<delay>000000</delay>

<day>1,2,3,4,5,6,7</day>

<loop>0</loop>

<cmd>say -1 Server will restart in 5 minutes!</cmd>

<cmdtype>0</cmdtype>

</job>

** THIS IS OK

<job id="5">

<time>013000</time>

<delay>000010</delay>

<day>1,2,3,4,5,6,7</day>

<loop>0</loop>

<cmd>say -1 Server will restart in 5 minutes!</cmd>

<cmdtype>0</cmdtype>

</job>

** THIS IS BAD **

<job id="5">

<time>013000</time>

<delay>00:00:10</delay>

<day>1,2,3,4,5,6,7</day>

<loop>0</loop>

<cmd>say -1 Server will restart in 5 minutes!</cmd>

<cmdtype>0</cmdtype>

</job>

Good point I didn't,I've just emailed our host to ask them again to double check that BEC is the latest version but it was only last week they said it was. It's obviously not as none of the scripts work.
