nox81 28 Posted March 21, 2013 Welcome to the forums, Bounty Hunter. You're doing great. Get used to dying is my best advice to you and BenjamK. When you have a lot of stuff, the first time you die is devastating. You have to drag yourself back up and start over. :thumbsup:Yeah it happened sula....in a little, rarely visited village.....and i trecked through endless forrests for 40 damned minutes, got lost countless times, nearly died several times, killed many a zed with a hatchet; just to go loot my body and get it all back!Bounty hunter im playing on a server that has a usually low to mid size populatuion (handy for learning) seemingly few bandits, and genrally friendly people who'll advise you in side chat etc. Also you get a fair few new guys popping in there. One guy showed me the ropes on there and i've been playing there abit while i get to grips with the map/game.'DayZ Chernarus UK noobs welcome' 85.234.146.100:2352'Im on after 8pm usually. Seems as good a place to learn as any before i going into a server with heavy numbers and bandits.
Shakis 33 Posted March 21, 2013 Loading up single player click on "Armory" click Chernarus, click "Host" give it a pw and now you can log into your Armex server where you get a selection of guns and vehicles to play around with, with friends. This is a good way of getting used to the way the game works in a nice environment lol.The game lasts an hour but if you are anything like me there will be no vehicles/buildings left after the first 20 mins, just restart the server and go again lol. Steak and Potatoes 13480 Posted March 21, 2013 Thanks for the advice Sula, i've experience plenty of dying already however not by a players hand, mostly due to the zombies chasing me out of towns :D also do you know a good server i could use with friendly people? some of the servers i've tried are just full of paranoid people looking to kill 'bambies' if anyone has a decent server and a good helpful community i'd like to join! before you ask i've already decided to avoid becoming a bandit :)Use the zombies pathing to your advantage. Enter buildings and run weave patterns through town to lose them. They will slow down as you enter a building and will have a hard time keeping up as you work your way around buildings.
