I have played on this server and it is fun. Snow is falling, there are like 400 extra buildings, AI galore, bases.....I love it, this is my new home server!!!

And all the extra buildings (400+) are in the database so there isnt any lag!

Beef is right though, the dogs are awesome.....so nice when I dont there is evil AI around, the dog will bark and go eat them haha

been playing this server abit recently and i really enjoy it.

the dogs are great and make very handy companions when looting.

alot more vehicles is always a plus to me as i hate the walking part of dayz

my only issue is with the AI, i like that there is AI, but between survivor groups going through towns shooting every zombie in sight, making survival easy when they are around. bandits being so tough its usually be killed rather than kill, and helis flying over every couple of minutes, it does kinda drain the atmosphere abit.

What i would suggest (bearing in mind i dont know anything about modding or how dayz works) would be to lower the amount of survivors in groups, say to maybe 3 or 4. make bandits and AI a little less intellligent or tough, so they dont kill so easy. and decrease the amount of flying heli spawns.

Apart from that id definatly recommend more people checking it out, its very fun and fills alot gaps in vanilla dayz. plus it would be good to have more people in instead of rocks creeping out me and my cousin at night lol

Hahahaha What's DayZ without getting creeped out man!!! Point taken on the AI's but what the admin is trying to do is make Chernarus how it might be if this is a few days or weeks after the outbreak. The heli's flying overhead are there to stop people from leaving the "quarantine" zone a.k.a. Chernarus as the military is still up and active to some extent. As far as how tough the AI are, its randomized, but usually when i encounter them, you hear them shoot zombies first which gives their position away and if you are sneaky enough, you can out flank them and take them down no problem. I dont think they are too hard. They are just right.

So sorry some stuff takes you our of the atmosphere you desire, but that stuff is there to create a specific atmosphere. It's all been added on purpose. You know? (sounds better in my head haha)

ah yeah, i never put together the "start of the apocalypse" name with the theme, in which case i can accept the helis and stuff, its just the AI raping me abit much lol

but still definatly a great server and one of the most advanced I have seen in terms of new features, self blood-bag is definatly a welcome addition

Yeah the snow got to be a bit much and was replaced for adjusted weather, which means it is mostly clear, and rains once and a while, not all the time like most vanilla servers.....no fog, and a 3000m view distance too!!!
