water purification straw in dayz

The title says it all. A purifying straw (military/hospital loot only, rare) could be an alternative to cans and/or water bottles.

I don't think it is needed at all. IIRC all you have to do is boil water as a new game mechanic in SA.

Also for "immersion" I'm sure someone could shed some light on which military factions actually issue these to their troops.

Pretending there was a zombie outbreak in the US and the national guard was called to duty, what % of them would have these? I don't see it. Switch that with Chernarus... I see it less likely.
