DayZ and Skype

Recommended Posts

I've had little interest in DayZ recently, but then, after fixing my Skype on Windows 8, I got in some Skype calls for the past week or so. Well, one of them suggested DayZ. In my mind I am thinking "God, DayZ is so boring just running around and no communication" but, Skype actually made it fun. We managed to get ran over by a HMMV twice, then eventually pop their tire and get killed again. The point of this is to ask, do you think Skype makes DayZ more fun?

Teamspeak makes DayZ fun, Skype makes DayZ lag. http://teamspeak.com/

I've tried Teamspeak, it fried my little brain. I've got good enough internet so that Skype doesn't effect my ping.

Teamspeak is also nice because of push-to-talk and a better voice detection so you don't here younger siblings of your friends screaming all the time and other general background noise+ the quality is relatively the same and it is a little easier on the CPU meaning more for games. I used skype for a good month or so, but I like Teamspeak much, much better.

Back on topic, I agree external communication adds a lot more fun to the game. It makes communication easier and clearer+ you can communicate over the entire map without broadcasting your every move.

Communication via any means (Skype, TS or even direct chat) makes this game SO much more fun. I usually play by myself and get bored quite quickly, where if I come across a friendly and team up, I have the time of my life!
