How can I clean my pc from hacks/malware?

Recommended Posts

Nuff said. I am not the only one who has access to this computer and I suspect that someone installed ***s on it. How can I remove them all? Is it possible to get banned by battleye without using them?

I already put a password on the computer so my brother can't access it anymore.

Any way to permanently deal with any malware/ hacks that have been installed?

***s? Piss?

Hack's aren't installed. They're performed remotely onto your desktop.

If you've got malware or trojans, or whatever, then anti-viral software should do the job. I'd kinda figure it'd go without saying...

If you want to be sure then format your drives and reinstall your OS. It's the only way to be sure.

It's a pain in the ass but then so are hackers.

Go do a fresh format!

When it says "windows.old will be stored" you dont want that.

You want to right quick the drive and press format. make sure it comes up showing like free space 730/733.5 gb

as long as you redo the partition making sure that all data is purged before it re-installs, otherwise it only re-installs the OS and leaves everything there.

I use CCleaner whenever I want to get rid of stuff. Generally though I try to limit my 3rd party software usage as I don't like the idea of cluttering up my OS with mudblood software (ie......if it can be done with native microsoft programs, I use the microsoft programs).

Format'd. I redid the partitions and formated them, then installed windows. After it got installed and it booted up only windows was installed.

That means the format was succesful right?
