Do Bodies Despawn When You Change Servers?

Simple question, after a while googling I've received mixed answers on this topic. When you die and leave a body, then switch to a different server, does the body on the first server stay in place?

I know bodies get wiped after server restarts, but do they immediately despawn if you switch servers?

You mean no, it doesn't stay on the server, or that it doesn't disappear when you switch servers?

Actually.

I have no idea.

I know they disappear when somebody disconnects right at the moment of their death. ("Combat logging")

The body sinks into the ground never to be recovered. I also know that bodies disappear on server restarts.

But I don't actually know what happens if you body has been there for a while and then you switch/disconnect from the server.
