modern flashlights (strobe for "defense")

Something that would be cool to add would be these modern kind of flashlights that are on the market for quite a while. They are extremely bright, mostly adjustable, and some flashlights can be used for defense in the brightest setting. Some even have a strobe setting, and this is interesting.

flashing someone right in the face with the strobe WILL irritate and demobilize the person for a while, because he will close his eyes, and even then, he will have a red/purple spot in the vision when he opens the eyes again. Normal reaction, when registering the spots, is turning the head away, which will disorient a bit.

These spots normally last for 15-30 seconds, will wear off constantly, and you can adapt to them, if your eyes will get strobed often.

Would be interesting to see that effect in game. These effects should be "easily" inserted into the game and would be a nice defense possibility. Strobing someone at night could give you precious seconds to hide, run away, equip weapon, axe him, whatever....i think you get the point.

Also would be very nice to evade zombies with that technique.

Another idea:

High Powered(100mw+) Handheld Laserpointers. The blind effect is much bigger as with flashlights even on 200m distance you get totaly blind by such a laserpointer.

Its a good lightsource at night.

You can burn paper with such a laserpointer.

They are small and light.

You can distrack zombies, you can blind zombies, you can point on stuff 1km away and show your friends the stuff.

In combination with ducttape you can get a lasermarker for close range.

A friend mentionned Flash-grenades also. But the thing with them - and HV-Laserpointers is, they are not really everyday items.

So they should be very rare like high value military loot. Those flashlights are pretty everyday these days.

They could also be used to give signals over huge distances (from one hill to another)

And for the absolute Mac Gyver Effect - you can start a fire with a flashlight, even with low power FL's, but only one time and you destroy the flashlight.

And duct tape for attaching an ordinary flashlight on the rifle is a great idea.

laser pointers are a horrible lightsource as they only light up a specific point and not the surrounding area. it's worse that the current flashlights, at least they have a cone.
