I think that you should be able to counter-attack melee attacks. (Etc Person 1 attacks Person 2 with an axe.

Person 2 grabs axe and smacks Person 1 to the ground.

After, Person 2 kills Person 1.)

Or

Person 1 gets threatened by an person with an Makarov PM.

Person 1 drops his gun, and disarms Person 2 when he isn't being aware.

tl;dr

Let us disarm players.

Normal people can disarm other normal people, easy as that.

(ArmA II = Combat Simulator = Fully Trained Combat Experts.)

We are normal survivors not experts in firearms.Anyone can get disarmed.

Just don't do any nijutsu or other wild animations.

normal people can, but it isnt always in your best interest, why try to take on someone with a gun/knife when you can just let them take your stuff and live to fight another day? tbh i just think the idea to have it in the game is silly but lthat's just me. must also take into account the fact that if it was in the game noone would get close enough to let you do it, therefore rendering the idea useless.

Hello there

The engine, as it stands, just isn't really suited to melee, but who knows what's up the dev's sleeves?

And imho, disarming an offensive weapon off someone isn't something many of us would try. I certainly wouldn't given a choice.
