OMG ! (install issues)

Hello! i downloaded arma 2 and arma 2: OA and installed them, then i downloaded dayzmod, i started arma 2 to the menus, but then OA didn't work, saying i have a bad serial number or can not simply find the game, i think it can be because i should've started oa aswell before even downloading dayzmod, ive tried running OA in admin but didnt work, nor just to delete the dayzmod from steam, so my question is, what are my options? A fast and good answer would be much appreciated.

Try "Verify integrity of game cache". If that doesn't work, reinstall both games.

try run game

if it fails restart computer (delayed service write up by STEAM or w/e)

try again, if that fails change source server in network settings, restart steam and try again

Could also be that steam ran out of serial keys and just sold you the game. You'll get the key as soon as it gets available (usually a couple of days)

Very annoying but i know this happened in the past (like july/august 2012) as well!

You can also try to contact Steam.

OK, this worked out for me, i can now start OA, but it says that i should copy in the serial number when it tells me to, but its already there? since i can start and play the game...little confusing,, i dont get what they mean? so is there anything more i should do before installing dayzmod to steam?? =)

Steam will advise you to copy the serial down, do so, but you need not enter it anywhere.

Lastly, when you make threads please do not use an oblique title.

It may have "worked" but it's not the way to get on the mods good side, especially when we work all day to keep the forums clean and tidy for users like you to be able to find the info they need.

Imagine a forum with totally undescriptive thread titles, no one would be able to find anything.

The forums are not here just for "you" and "your" problem rather they are a resource for everyone and should be treated as such.

Go and stand in the corner. No tea for you.
