Downloaded Dayz but all Red servers... help me

Hey guys ive been trying for hours to make dayz work but nothing i do helps.... when i downloaded dayz from steam and turned the game on ... all the servers are Red and if i click on one it just says connecting failed... plz help.... really wanna play dayz for the first time....

try using dayzcommander instead the steam version is a bit funny time to time

Because the Steam version of DayZ is total shite, that's why.

Like everyone else said, download DayZCommander and update to the latest DayZ patch and ArmA 2 build. Then use DayZCommander to join your desired server.

i went to the dayzcommander but where is the download? all i see is a download for 7zip on there website.....

when you launch dayz what version numbers does it put in the bottom right hand corner

Open DayZ commander, Navigate to Install/Update. Install the latest Patch of DayZ and the Latest Arma II patch.

If i were you i would delete @DayZ from the installation folder and download it again via DayZ commander.

These fields are the ones you have to make sure are up to date. Plus the DayZ Field. *Keep in mind that these are not the current versions. This is an old screenshot found in google images.
