Help me out.

Hello everyone.

I downloaded arma 2 & arma 2: arrowhead to steam and also the day z mod.

I heard that you needed to start arma 2 & arma 2: arrowhead before launching the

dayz mod. So i first started arma 2 and then tried to start arrowhead, but it didn't work.

My guess is i should've started both games before even downloading the dayz mod.

I tried to delete the mod and start arrowhead again, but didn't work out.

Has this happend to someone else that could help me out or know someone who can?

These games took forever for me to download and i don't want to do it again.

And i get a msg that says cant show cd or something..

So please help.

try starting steam as admin by right clicking on steam and run as administrator and run both games up to the menus

if any error messages come up take a screen shot or write the whole thing down we can help you better

arma 2 works fine, the problem is OA, and i think it because i downloaded the mod before starting both games,

i deleted dayz but OA wont work, its says something about bad serial number 1 time, and the other times it doesnt find it.

in that case with steam started as admin, right click on oa and go to properties, then local files and then validate the files and then run the games to the main menu. click in expansion and make sure the following is enabled

arma2

arma2 oa

arma2 baf lite

arma2 pmc lite

install the beta and then dayz

I had the bad serial problem as well. Find the folder where your arma2 OA is, then go inside. Right click and run that as administrator. For whatever reason, when my OA beta installed, it didn't have rights to update the registry. If using steam, right click the OA beta line and see if it says register game or view cd key. If it says register game you have to manually run the games from the folder with the right click 'run as administrator' for them to fix themselves.

i tried to run as admin, but it didnt work, the msg "bad serial" still comes up, it tries to find the cd key but it cant find it, nor when i try to "view cd key" there comes a error msg, what can i do now?
