sgt-butterscotch 1 Posted March 3, 2013 Hello, first off I would like to thank you for taking your time for reading this, I appreciate it a lot!DISCLAIMER: PLEASE FORGIVE ME IF ANY OF THE IDEAS MENTIONED IN THIS TOPIC WERE ALREADY MENTIONED! ENTER-ABLE TENTS:Ok for this idea, I was thinking about having the ability to go inside a tent and hide in there for different things. Possibly if it is raining, it is a way to keep you warm. Also, it would be a great way to hide from wild life (like dangerous wild life that people want in SA, if implemented) or even from players. Downside would be that you can only fit up to 2 - 3 players inside, and that you can only see in first person in the tent (so the team would have to design some sort of interior.) Also, the tent would be able to be opened up from the front and back and exposes the interior so that if a player is hiding in the tent, another player can find out if someone is in there and can kill him. "Hold-Up" emote/command:For this one, the player has the ability to put his hands up if a stranger holds him up. So if you were just looting in a town, and suddenly you hear from behind you say, "Put your hands up right now, or I will shoot you!" From this you can respond by hitting a certain key (like how "\" causes your player to salute) and this will put your players hands up, causing anything in the players hands to go back into his inv. From this, if your player has his hands up, anyone who comes close to you, they have full control over your inventory. They can take anything that your player has on him including on himself and backback. Also, they can tie ropes around your wrists, causing you to be unable to use anything, just be able to walk/run. Rope is not in game, I know, but with this idea, it can be implemented. Also, if you are in this situation, if you can run away, (without being shot and killed of course..) you can get a knife to cut away the rope. If your player has a knife on him, you have the option to *cut rope* and escape from it. Well, those are just a couple of my ideas, and like I said earlier, please forgive me if these suggestions were mentioned.. But if you liked my ideas, feel free to spare me a can of beans! Thanks!!

IkaikaKekai 1957 Posted March 3, 2013 (edited) Both suggested before, both good ideas and you put them in a good format, 2/3 gets you beans.I thought about having larger tents that you can actually walk into, but you make a very good point.I would make it so that if you log out in a tent you would log back in still in the tent (instead of being ejected or next to the tent). I had a camp set up with 3 tents (Food/Meds/tools, Weapons/ammo, carparts) and had a bus in the area. Spawned in standing up next to my tents, next thing I hear is an AS50 and my failed attempts to find cover. If you were semi/fully concealed while in a tent that would be a benefit if you could look out of the tent (the few camping tents I've been in IRL had sheer 'windows' that you could see out of but couldn't see into very well, something like that so you could do a quick survey and make sure you aren't being camped or someone isn't raiding your camp as you log in. That way you have a moment to prepare to ambush your raider or simply try to stay hidden. If I could double bean you for the ropes idea I would. handcuffs have been discussed and proposed a number of times, with no 'satisfactory' means of escaping them. Id say while 'restrained' your hostage taker has the option to search your inventory more thoroughly rather than just looking in your pack like we can now. Say if he leaves you with your Ax, knife, or other bladed implement you would have a 'stealthy' means get out of the restraints, (would be an animation that plays but would be less noticeable and faster than struggling , or you could just 'struggle' out of your restraints (very noticeable animation, much longer, chance of failing to get out, and the hostage taker being able to 'stop' you from struggling). Cutting the ropes should also give the option of feigning being restrained. That way if you have an incompitant bandit you could cut the ropes and free yourself, still pretend to be captured and either run when hes not paying attention or get the upper hand on him. Or if the bandit left you or you got away without freeing yourself you could get to a 'safe' place and struggle to free yourself or have a friend help you. To balance it it would have to be able to tie someone's legs as well (would require another rope) Edited March 3, 2013 by BigMike
