Graphical Questions about Arma II:Free and OA

Recommended Posts

Heyo, I went on the Day Z wikia and saw it's possible to play With ARMA II: Free and OA alone.

So I told my friend this, and he said that the visual quality goes down the drain with this. He doesn't know the level that it goes down to, or if there is missing Textures/models and the like.

If there's any more knowledge before I go and buy about this, The help is appreciated.

I think if you run it on very high, they look normal from what i've seen

Ah, Alright.

I might want to avoid that because my computer only really does well with A2:Free on Normal or lower. If I crank it to Very High, It'll still be rather negative on my frames, correct?

You're best waiting for someone who has the Free version to reply

Dude...

I have been using Arma 2 Free demo, and my Full Operation Arrowhead , and it worked JUST fine up until this recent patch. However even prior to patch i was having some loot not spawning issues...

But since the Update, and the new Six Launcher / Updater system, i get the " "Error Creating Direct3D 9 Graphical Engine" Error thing. And if i attempt to join games in the multiplayer menu of the Game itself, it says Bad version, and wont let me connect.

And EVERYTIME i launch, even Operation Arrowhead, it launches as Arma 2 Free. But in the bottom left it shows OA and Arma 2 are there and on, same with Dayz.

I JUST now bought Arma 2 on steam, and deleted my Arma 2 Free. Im hoping this will allow me to play the mod without issue , as i will have both full games. Will i encounter any issues?.

I bought OA for 39.99 a WHILE ago, and just got Arma 2 for 19.99 today, and not the combined operations back. It will still function with both games right?.
