DayZ-Mod on steam created screenshots when i killed my first zed

So i decided to do the lazymans way of updating to 1.7.6.1 and removed the @DayZ folder, and clicked the 'install mod' button on steam :)

Like a charm! and after joining 15 servers i finally found an official that really was an official server with the correct version :)

after finding an axe and some bandages i chopped down my first zed. but at the second hit, the game froze for a few seconds, and created 3/4 screenshots.

This was possibly for some sort of steam-achievement, or just something in the mod itself. (my first kill-memory) or something..

but.. where do i retrieve these screenshots? how do i view them?

Back on the steam game library menu out of game select the DayZ mod game and scroll down on that page. There should be a box saying "Screenshots" under this there should be a button saying "View Screenshot library" click that and it will take you to your screenshots.

sounds like it almost made a screenshot of your first death... few seconds freeze for an achievement... don't know if that's worth it.

Can you turn that off in steam?

that only shows the screenshots i took myself (with the F12 button) i meanth the automated screenshots, i cant find anything achievement related on steam for DayZ-mod

Are you sure your game didn't just freeze for a second? Lol.

I don't believe mods loaded through Steam can have their own Steam achievements or automate Steam screenshots.

it froze and showed 3x black bubbles with the text "Screenshot captured" in the centre of my screen,

I had never seen that before so i guessed it was just a steam-thing but it was right at the moment i killed the first zed after a fresh spawn (at the 2nd chop with an axe)

i wasnt running fraps or other software that could have caused it. maybe it was something in the mission file of that server, although i dont think thats possible..

Okay it has been resolved!

Apparently the Teamspeak overlay also has a screenshot funtion i didnt know of..

aside from it being an awsome feature for the standalone, this no longer is a dayz mod issue, but a failure in Teamspeaks overlay not announcing it having this functionality.. its defaultly mapped to the reload key which i probably hit..
