Have officially played on my last Public Server till SA

Title sums it up quite well.

Have stuck it out with the public community since, well, close to day 1, and I'm officially done with its bullshit.

By all means, this isn't me ranting or raving or complaining my little sob story, this is just the reason why I'm done with Public.

As many of you that play or have played public will obviously know, skiddies are a real issue. They ruin survival streaks, destroy immersion, and well, put a damper on your fun. As many of you say to the newbies and frustrated players, get the fuck over it and respawn. Well, I do every time.

Of course there is disappointment when you lose your hard or luckily earned full gear-out to one of the many scripts there are out there, but there are plenty of more opportunities to get it back, so respawn and enjoy. But, at a certain point you just lose faith.

Mine came today when I was looting Cherno. Minding my own business in my usual public, regular, high pop, history of hacks server. I enter the firestation. Been sneaking awhile with no problems. I pick up an M1014 and a few pellet mags for it. All of a sudden, I see some guy in aviators, camo clothing, and holding an AK-74 on the roof next to me. I had made the mistake of not checking it first.... oops. But he doesn't notice me in the tower, so I aim down the sights, peek to the right to get vantage, and say "Dude, drop the AK and walk away, and I will leave" over direct. He turns towards me, and says, "Shut your fucking mouth, beyotch", so I fire 3 shells right into his face point blank 5m away. Nothing. I run downstairs, he shoots, misses. I decide that I must have not hit, somehow. And that I'll take this guy out.

I exit, leave, and come back. I climb the ladder and sneak up on him... 4m away MAX, fire 5 shots. He turns, laughs over side chat, salutes, and pumps a mag into my head full auto.

I promptly exited the server and LOL'ed.

I'm no stranger to Whitelists and Private Hives, but now they are my main way of playing.

RIP public... You will not be missed.

I officially played on my last public server 6 months ago and most serious players have been on private hives for many months now for a multitude of reasons.

I have been as well, but I (formerly) played publics at the same time.

I'd play an hour or so on a Private, then switch over to my guy on Public and check things out.

My playstyle on both are also different, I'm much more risky on Publics. you could say I played them for the thrill. Now? Every other person you run into is a skiddie.

Don't get me mistaken, I'm quite a serious player, and love this game.

I don't ever think the public hives will be fixed on the mod. It is truly sad, since they used to be so fun.

You will still get this happening on private hives but at least the admins have a chance to take out the trash. Try our private hive Lingor server. You'll like it. Lot's of action, cool active admins and a full server nearly every night. Give us a try you'll like it.

We're an east coast US server so EST evenings are the most active but there is usually some on the server nearly 24/7
