Deleted Post?

I started a thread that I thought was quite funny and now I can't find it... would I be informed if one of my posts got deleted.

Is there any way I can find out why it was deleted so I don't make the same mistake twice?

I had embedded the most recent (as of 25/02/13) dev blog update and just posted a quote from it... was that wrong?

No that's not the one, I have a URL here that I think directs to it but when I click it it says that I do not have permission.

Ok, found it. It was hidden by another mod and I have to agree with him. It's basically a re-post. You just copy pasted the devblog and added a comment. No need for a new thread for that TBH, you could just comment on the devblog thread itself.

We have to try to keep this place as tidy as possible for YOU, dear forum member.

We deal with a vast amount of forum issues each day and sometimes it's just not possible to contact users about every thread we move/hide etc.

If there is an issue though we will contact you.

Plus, we rarely delete posts so never fear if you think an action is unjust you can contact us directly.

Its always best to do that rather than create yet another post which will not affect or interest other posters.

I have a feeling that may have been me. I usually PM people when I move or hide their topics so they don't wonder where it's gone and post it again but I may have been busy at the time and forgotten. If it was indeed me then I'm sorry.
