Hi,

Currently running Arma II : OA on steam and downloaded the standalone mod through steam also. I have not been able to get into a game for various reasons. which are screenshot below.

Incorrect version : I highlights in red that i need a higher version ? how do i obtain this ?

Bad version server reject : an error message that appears once i find a game that does not highlight in red

Modified/Unsigned files : Once i am able to find a game that isnt highlighted in red nor gives me bad version message this appears

Again to recap i am running via steam and have installed Arma II : OA and Dayz standalone mod just yesterday so i would assume i am up to date.

if you are starting the game from steam you have to run ArmA2:OA beta, not the standard ArmA2:OA and then check bottom right corner in main menu for mod and beta version

but as Connor Vaighn says you can use DayZ Commander for both updating and launching the game

I was reluctant to use any 3rd party tools and I've been doing everything manually but I installed it a couple of weeks ago and it really simplifies the process

and then there is the problem with servers taking some time to apply the update so you might want to wait with updating DayZ until more servers are updated (beta version is usually compatible with older versions but mod has to be the exact same version as the server you are connecting to)

yeah. When I filtered the 1.7.6 servers earlier there were literally like, Three. And the one I joined was filled. i mean FILLED with KoS players and hackers.
