A peaceful flight down the coast

Recommended Posts

Just a quick run down the coast in a little bird with a couple of Hueys for escort, nothing spectacular, just some pretty low flying..

Not low enough.

You're supposed to be scraping the asphalt with your heli, otherwise you're just a scrub pilot like everybody else!

(I dig the music, though.)

Called NOE ... nap of the Earth (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nap-of-the-earth) ... Nap-of-the-earth (abbreviated NOE) is a type of very low-altitude flight course used by military aircraft to avoid enemy detection and attack in a high-threat environment.

As stated ... normally only used in a high threat environment or for below radar infiltration to enemy lines. :)

also known as terrain masking, if the aircraft has the right paint job to blend in enough
