How do I boil water?

I am an old player of DayZ who came back. It was boring as shit before and felt like a call of duty remake with zombies. Now it's actually fun to me and i'm needing to clear something up.

How do I boil water? What do I require to boil water so I don't get infected? I've got three water bottles on me with water and I don't have any boiled. How do I boil this?

Hey,

Pick up an empty soda can or Tim can from food OR eat or drink a can then just hover over he fire and you get the option to boil water just like if you we're to cook meat.

As long as he can is on your person the fire will auto detect you have it and give you the boil water option.

Well you need to have a full water bottle (or three) and also an EMPTY TIN CAN in your main inventory. Then build a roaring fire and if you mouse scroll on the fire there will be an option to "boil water". Pretty much the same as cooking meat in game.
