"dayz error" addon dayz_anim requires addon ca_dubbing_counterattack

i get this error every time i try to join a server via "play withsix,via steam,dayzcommander"

by far i have no clue how to fix this and if anyone is willing to help me out,i would be glad.

are both games from steam

if you mean arma2 and arma2 arrowhead,then yeah... ?

otherwise i dont know where you are coming from...

make sure the paths in dzc and pws are correct if they are do the following as the game is not getting launched as combined operations

close steam

start steam in admin (right click and run as administrator)

right click on arma2 and properties then local files

click on verify integrity of game cache <-- do it twice

and do the same for arma2 oa

run arma2 to the menu

run arma2 oa to the menu

click in expansions

make sure the following are enabled

arma2

arma2 oa

arma2 baf lite

arma2 pmc lite

if not enable them and restart then exit the game

alright ;S this may sound really stupid,but i have not downloaded arma2 on steam but i do have arrowhead.

i guess this will give me the same error? or when i have downloaded it it will fix it self?

lol you need arma2 installed too as dayz uses files from arma2 as well as oa the main one being the map you run around on when playing :)

Well then,i have arma2 atm installed i dont know where or what these dayz uses files are or "OA" so if you can give me link to get those and what to do with em >.>

when you have both games installed the just get used automatically mate just make sure they are enabled in arma2 oa like i said before and the paths are correct in dzc or pws with ever you want to use

it should be just under arma2 make sure you launch the game with steam started as admin so it puts the information about path location and cd keys into your registry

Hi I notice this thread is kind of old but I'm having the same problem but what do you mean run arma 2 to the menu? And how do you do it?

He means once you have completed the above steps.  Launch Arma2 and Arma OA seperate until you reach the main menu then you may log out.
