Script Restriction #229

Recommended Posts

Greetings,

I'm seeing quite a few users getting kicked by BattlEye for script restriction #229 the last few days. Here is an example from the scripts.log file:

Line 4560770: 22.02.2013 12:15:40: PlayerNameRemoved (24.70.39.172:2324) PlayerGuidRemoved - #229 "rivate ["_dummy"]; _dummy = [_this,"players"] execVM "\ca\ui\scripts\dedicatedServerInterface.sqf";"

Any thoughts on whether or not this is a hack or a false positive?

Thanks,

Splinter

Hi Splinter,

I don't have my own server logs i front of me but i believe that this came when someone is trying to enter the Server Interface by pressing P and then navigating in the server menu to request votekick or something like that.

That was blocked by script filter because at the beginning of DayZ some hack scripts was executed directly through the Server Interface.

So don't worry about that, players don't have to navigate in this interface.

Hope it help.

DJ Teschmi,

I just tested this ingame and you were right on the mark. I actually pressed the "M" key and scrolled down to Server Control. I was immediately kicked for script restriction #229. I will ignore these.

Thanks for your help on this.

I think some people use it to combat log or to avoid waiting 3 mins for the timer hitting right shift p also kicks you that way
