How to play music on dayZ

Hey, so as the title says i would like to play music on dayZ but have no idea how. I've seen a few guides but never really understood, so i'd be very grateful if anyone could explain to me how to do this bearing in mind i'm terrible with computers. Thanks for reading

Well you're going to find this out eventually anyway, so;

- Change your microphone(in-game settings) to Stereo Mix

- Mute your game, and preferably everything else that you don't want people to hear(videos, Skype, etc)

- Put music on and open your mic

Stereo Mix is basically everything you can hear.

If you have Stereo Mix on and you turn your mic on while your game is NOT muted, people will hear your game.

i can't find stereo mix in game options?

I give advice and direction, not tutorials. Google your problems.

But basically what you need to do is enable the Stereo Mix channel in your Windows' audio settings, in the Recording Devices tab.

You could always connect a 3.5mm (male) audio cable to your computer (plug it in your mic input) then to something like an iPhone or laptop (plugged into the audio out), then play the audio off of that, then you could play music while still playing game sound.

There is an easier solution use Virtual audio cable and hotkeyp.You can play sounds/music trough your mic with those programms without muteing your game.
