_runA2CO_beta just crashes

Hey everybody, I'm trying to get the mod running on steam, I've done everything in the dayz wiki for the steam manual install, but when I try to start up _runA2CO_beta, the command window pops up for like have a second, then it disappears and the game doesn't start.

These are the instructions I followed:

(Obviously I bought arma 2 and operation arrowhead)

1. Download and install beta patch from http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php (Latest patch is in the green field top of page)
   
2. Go to the Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead directory (for example C:\Program Files (x86)\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead) and right-click -> edit on .cmd file "_runA2CO_beta.cmd". Search for ":run" near the end of the file. Add ";@dayz" without quotes to "-mod=%_ARMA2PATH%;EXPANSION;ca".
   

1. Download DayZ Mod files. http://dayzmod.com/?Download
   
2. Make a folder named "@DayZ" in your Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead directory.
   
3. Inside "@DayZ" folder create another folder named "Addons". It should look like this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\@DayZ\Addons
   
4. Unpack all DayZ Mod files in the "Addons" folder.
   
5. Start the game as instructed in ARMA2 beta patch
   
6. Run "_runA2CO_beta.cmd" and enjoy playing!

Ive never used the beta.exe

When you download the beta patch, go to your expansions folder in the Arma 2 operation arrowhead folder. Inside the Expansion folder is the folder beta, open it and there will be a Arma2.exe like the one in your Arma2 operation arrowhead folder. Replace the one in the Arma2 operation arrowhead folder with the one inside the beta folder. Better yet, copy it somewhere as a back up incase the beta is bad.

Would have explained it better if I was on my game PC. On my mac :P

First thing you need to know is that you do not need to run Steam to play ArmAII/CO.

Steam/steamapps/common....

Iuse SpiritedMachines ArmAII launcher to run and organize everything ArmA. Easy to use with lots of info available (vids and tut).
