New Computer Specs and q's?

hello, so as quite a few people here are the same way. im running on a system that only allows me to run arma 1 with 12-15 fps... ...on minimum. yes, thats right, i hve no chance on surviving when i get OA for DayZ

but, considering my BDay is tomorrow, im looking for a new computer. im looking at the Asus G74SX,

or a custom built tower for teh same price. i can get that laptop for about $880.

any help please on what it will run like on that laptop?

i would recommend that i5 600w psu, 7870 gpu and 1600mhz 8gb RAM

Only idiots and people who commute a lot buy laptops for playing games.

The basic specs beast101 posted will run ArmA 2 just fine (AMD graphics cards actually perform better than Nvidia cards in ArmA 2).

In the end it all depends on how much you want to spend and if you're willing to build a custom PC (which is always the better choice).
