SA Zombie/Infected Death Mechanics

Would this be possible?

What if the infected didn't die?

Instead of death, when you drop a zed, you put it to sleep for 5,6,7... minutes or even a random time depending on how you drop them, a sort of dead state, and after that timer has passed it will slowly arise and come back to life.

This would mean zombies wouldn't ever have to spawn except for at the start of the server or after a restart. There'd be no "wiping the server end game" which is something I'm personally concerned about for PvP reasons. The infection would be an endless problem with no solution.

Think it'd be great if you were running through Cherno and zombie corpses were a worry, reanimating around you.

Points for thinking but this is to easily exploited, and it's been proven time and time again if it can be exploited people will abuse it.

Example: Use X amount of people to lure all the zombie's to 1 location on the map, throw frags, all zombie's are dead repeat every hour as needed, 100% CoD mode activated. (even if they couldn't go past XXXm people could still coordinate to keep them all dead)

there are 2 other problems

1 rocket has already said that survives are immune

2 these are NOT zombies ie dead coming back to life, they are living infected people

its a good suggestion in its own way.

But one of the things I was really looking forward to is actually with this new spawning zed system that you can secure a village, barricade a facility so it would be free of zombies.. since zombies already have spawned all around the map, then the zombies cant respawn inside of a building/place on a map when they die. If they just rise up every time they die then that cool feature would be removed... so a BIG "NO" from me!

I think you misunderstood. I didn't mean survivors coming back as the walking dead. Re-read

Fair point! But that would be a realistic possibility and a good survival technique in these kind of conditions. I see it as a legit thing to do. Plus it would encourage team work to implement. Couldn't be done for the whole map and maybe just make frags nice and rare :)
