Body Decomposing

  1. 1. I would/wouldn't like a decomposing system in DayZ

Recommended Posts

Hey this is my first post. Don't worry I've used the search and couldn't find anything.

What I would like to add in DayZ is a Body Decomposing system . This system would have stages E.G A freshly killed body would be bleeding and no flies. A body that has been dead for awhile ( A hour or two) would have flies and the skin would be more pale then normal and a body that has been dead for a day would be rotting/pale skin and flies and eventually disappear Also add to the study body option a line that would say "You studied the body and it looks like its been dead for awhile" or "You studied the body and it looks fresh"

Is it a good idea? Post or vote

Apart from all the load on the servers, this would fit into DayZ extremely well.

The concept sounds familiar, it's probably been mentioned before. But complications aside, I'd like to see this included.

It'd add to suggestions people have made regarding burying and burning bodies, whether to cover your tracks, or get rid of the stink (flies)

I like the idea, however I think the timing should be like 1-2 hours for the body to disappear, so say you will see it bleeding for the first part of time, then you will see it decomposing, and at the end when its rotten and with flies, after it disappears (total around 1-2 hrs). Why? Because if there is a big long fight going on, you don't want all the bodies to be lagging the server down, and second. Because I'm guessing a good reason for this would be if you get to a town and see a bleeding dead body, it will make you aware there might be someone around, if its already decomposing, then you know it has been at least 30 min, but a full day or 2 would be to much for the servers to handle I think.

All in all, good suggestion.
