New Player! Need Help! What Do I Download?

Hi, I'm Michelle and I'm new to this whole Day-Z thing. I've watched some YouTube videos of it and it seems like something that I would be interested (and good) in. I would like to get started with this mod, however I am not completely sure what to buy. Some people are telling me that I need ARMA II : Combined Operation, as well as ARMA II itself. What I am confused about is whether ARMA II Combined Operation is like a DLC on top of the ARMA II game itself, or if ARMA II Combined Operation includes the game and the operation needed itself? You need ArmA II and Arma II:Operation Arrowhead - Together they are called Combined Operations.

Oh I see. So I can buy the $25 on the Steam Shop and I'll be set to go for the mod itself?

Yes, you you can just buy CO and you will get both ArmA and OA.

Install/Run both ArmA and OA to the main menu.

Download/Run DayZCommander

Click Install/Update in the top right and install the latest DayZ/ArmA updates.

Join a server.
