Line of sight

Recommended Posts

Not able to play for a little while, but noticed that the new patch claims you can break line of sight with zeds and get away from them. I know it sounds simple, but I'm dubious that you could turn a corner from a chasing Zed and break line of sight for .5 seconds and he'd be de-aggroed.

How does it work, precisely? Does one need to be a certain distance whilst breaking los or out of los for a given amount of time?

Thanks.

Some people seem to have a better grasp on this than I do, running around trees and other seemingly idiotic methods. I, however, have occasionally broke LOS by sprinting into a building, entering a crouch walk, and shutting doors behind me. Still, it doesn't often work and I just end up capping them anyway. :-/

Ahh really? So they still can go through walls and whatnot, and the LoS cutting isn't working? -.-

I've heard/read mixed things. I've had zombies walk right through entire buildings before, lol, was not cool. I've read in other posts that some people have been able to cut LoS via terrain (trees, rocks, etc) or by using building corners. I don't have a lot of experience with running away, I tend to be rather sneaky and not often detected but when I am I just hunker down and defend myself.

I'd honestly wait for others to post or browse around the forum a bit for a "second opinion" if you will.
