My theory on why everyone complains so much about DayZ

I think the majority of complaints have been about bugs and hackers - and quite rightly in some cases.

I think a lot of players also jumped on board and probably expected a polished, finished game, rather than a free mod.

The mod being too easy/too hard is always popular as well.

And then of course you have that classic species called a whinge-ass (Obvagio Culus) who just wants to complain about something - anything.

That's true, many players DO have legitimate claim and arguments against the patch, i can respect that, but when players begin saying "i shot my M14 at NWAF, Why do i have so much aggro, hurrhurrhurr" (obvious exaggeration is obvious). it gets a bit silly, you can't just play a game like this so recklessly and not expect any consequences.

Well of course people complain; CoD, WoW and pretty much every other game out there heavily discourage any thought whatsoever and probably caused an IQ drop across the globe. While there are a number of valid complaint threads, the vast majority are related to severe l2p issues.

it's the way gaming communities are i guess, people who have a problem are automatically labeld "noob" or thins like that simply because the person implying it doesn't agree with what they have to say. for example, this thread isn't even about me having bad experiences in the game, nothing of the sort in fact, but people will assume since i have an "argument" to make, that i am complaining, and then the flame war rolls in. Again, another point why people deny flaws and refuse change i guess.
