How many hours per week do you game?: ~10 - 15. I'm a computer engineering student in college, so I don't have a ton of free time. I get on as much as I can though.

Why should we take you?: I've been playing DayZ for a few months now, and really love it. While I have limited game testing experience, I have done a lot of debugging for other types of programs. I am very organized and task oriented and I love to learn. I'm always looking for a new experience in DayZ and I hope to do anything I can to make this game even better for the community.

This map is great, it's also at a stage where it's playable even though it's only at 0.1 so join the server if you're looking for a change from Tavi/Cherno, the island itself it beautiful - had a nice few firefights on it already, and if you find a bug then why not betatest while you're at it and help make this mod the best one yet!

Great fun the other day when we flew in and you shot up a few of the guys. Made me a little nervous though later when I had to fly in a pick up the same ones to take a find parts to fix their choppers you damaged in the process. All worked out in the end and three choppers were flying around chasing each other. Glad that we got serious again before we made the mistake of crashing into each other.

Even though we didn't get much out of it for "testing" purposes... What we did later on that day and also yesterday will be very valuable for future updates. Hit me up when your ready to work the map some more. Talk to you soon.

Downloaded the Sahrani map v0.1 but cannot get onto any of the available Sahrani servers... Unzipped it into the appropriate folder but get the same error everytime i try and join a server post-142736-0-18097900-1360598047_thumb.

when you downloaded it it prob missing a file! try a redownload that should work!

also in the right top do you see the sahrani logo ?

finally got to play dayz sahrani and it brought back a lot of gaming memories! spawned south of cayo and proceeded north towards the southern capital paraiso via gulan and somato. can’t believe i still know my way around without a map! the only problem i have encountered so far was the number of heli crash sites i came across between somato and paraiso airfield, think i counted at least 10! but apart from that i give version 0.1 a big can of beans! the natural choke point at the port of corazol should make for some great gameplay as players try and make their way into northern sahrani! really enjoyed my first three hour session back on sahrani! :-)

0.2 looks like it'll fix most of the problems in 0.1 and some ideas for 0.3 look simply amazing :D

This map will blow the others out of the water when it gets the publicity it deserves and 40+ people playing on it.

Thanks for the bug report! But PLEASE join these guys' forums! The Dev team is small and SWAMPED! Had we seen this on their bug reporting thread we would have looked at it before packaging .2 for them.

HOWEVER... EVERYONE PLEASE NOTE...

0.1 was THROWN together by a 3 man team and based on a pretty bad/buggy source dayz code....

0.2 IS based on 1.7.5 (.6 really because we've already integrated the noted changes for the next update)... this has ALL the new mechanics added to Chernarus in 1.7.5.1... PLUS

Our beginnings of camp building mechanic including 3 Crafting Books!

Downloaded v0.21 but cannot join any of the servers as adding DayZ_Sahrani in the override option of dayz commander does not seem to work anymore.
