Windows Server Files

Recommended Posts

I'm at a loss here.

I cant find the standalone files for the windows server anywhere. Hell, I have a second steam account and the game + mod installed there too I'll run it that way if someone can help me find the correct files.

Can some one help me find these files so I can get it working and then submit a request to the Devs to make another Canadian server?

Thank you.

The files for the game itself or the mod server files

I did google it and the most recent verision of the windows server I could find was 1.57

I am under the impression that there is a 1.6 (non linux) / 1.6 beta version of these files. Is that the case? As for whitelisting, I know I need to be green lit by the devs but I need to get the server running and test it with the beta version of ARMA2 first before acquiring the files and applying for Access to the main character server.

Correct me if I'm wrong here but i need both:

1) uptodate server files for Arma2 (stand alone or off the Cd key)

2) day z files (only available from the devs)

@LVG No I don't mean like that, I mean in the google doc guide it says to download ARMA2 and ARMA2 OA, so we installed steam on the server downloaded the files but as we can't actually launch the game to get some of the other files so i am wondering where people get the files from when they dont have a graphics card in there server/3d acceleration.

As i never had to delete these directories because they don't even exist

~\CBA

~\JayArma2Lib

~\CBA_A2

~\CBA_OA

~\dsound.dll

~\Expansions\beta\dsound.dll

The arma 2 dedicated server files are under tools in steam for download. However, that being said, the steam version of the dedicated server is moot because you'll be using the one in ARMA2OAPATH\expansion\beta\arma2oaserver.exe after you install the beta patch. :)

Hmm still no joy.....

Here is my config

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\arma2oaserver.exe" -beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -mod=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\expansion;ca;@dayz;@hive -name=cfgdayz -config=cfgdayz\server_{Code in here}.cfg -cfg=cfgdayz\arma2.cfg -profiles=cfgdayz -ip={hidden IP} -port=2302 -world=Chernarus -cpuCount=4 -exThreads=1

Server.cfg: is named but I hid it for this post.

Ip: is there just hid it for this post.

The error we are getting:

no entry '.profilepathdefault'

Checklist:

1) Does cfgdayz folder exist as well as cfgdayz.arm2oaprofile (sounds like you're not loading any profile)

2) You should create the batch file in the arma directory with "expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe" just to make sure you're starting it in the main folder. The beta won't work otherwise? Target has to be the beta exe path but it has to start in arma2oapath, not arma2oapath\expansion\beta.

3) No need for the -beta tag afaik (but you can leave it in until you get it working)

4) Are your arma2 and arma2oa files combined? If your server launches and you get reading mission DayZ from bank... Over and over and over, you'll have to do this.
