FPS issue and wrong monitor issue

Recommended Posts

1ZvxA.png

Is my computer build, and there are times I get below 18, which is very VERY odd. I should have no issue at all with a computer like mine, any tips?

Also anybody who has a dual monitor help me figure out how to launcht he game on my other monitor would be great.

3rd issue and most final, I have a sort of blue. I play in third person, and things are a tad blurry from a distance. I have turned everything on high, and still have the problem. Any idea?

I've never used dual monitors, but as for the lag, its your computer. Both the CPU and the GPU need an upgrade.

I have a much worse pc than you and i can play with everything disable or on low with 25-30fps

Try this:

Go into your "My Documents" folder.

Open "ArmA 2" folder

Open ArmA2.cfg and ArmA2OA.cfg

Find these two

GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1000;

GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=3;

Change them to this

GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1;

GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=1;

If your still getting low fps play around with your graphics settings. I set everything on low or disable it.

Video memory should be set on default.

3D Resolution should be the same as your interface Resolution or at 100% if in windowed mode, lowing it can increase your fps. Also your Interface and 3D Resolution should be the same as your screen settings (if not in windowed mode) To find out your resolution right click on your desktop and click screen Resolution.

If your still having problems you can reinstall the game and use dayz commander to install the mod and patches (just remember to open arma2 and arma2OA after installing arma)

You could also try RAMdisk.

Here are some posts that go into more depth.There are probably more threads out there that can help you.

No way in fuck it's my computer, try again. Most of the time I am running around with around 60. In cities I get around 30 and sometimes around 18. I don't care that I get the 18, it was just a question as to why the game is so FPS intense. My other 2 questions are my biggest dilemma.

No, it's the computer. 3.2 Ghz isn't good for Arma (its one of the most ridiculously CPU intensive games out there), and the 6800 is a mid-to-low range card.

If it makes you feel better, I have a GTX 680 and a I5-3570 and I still can't max out.

it's not his processor lol this game is massively not optimized... i have a i7 3770k, 16gb ram, GTX680 and with everything maxed out i get 30-40fps and i hold 200 fps on black ops 2... my mate with GTX590 in SLI get 5 more fps than me and i have a newer processor and more ram.

it must be a dual screen thing, i have a dual screen setup but i don't use the 2nd screen for anything but to track GFX performace, skype etc etc.
