I was running up to a deer stand north of Stary when I heard a human groan. I thought there must have been someone up there so sneaked about a bit and kept hearing the same sound of someone wincing in pain, not your standard zombie noises. Couldn't see anyone around and thought for a moment that it might be the result of me catching an infection but when I ran away from the deer stand I stopped hearing it. Any idea what it might have been?

Probably an injured player hiding/gone afk and you didn't find him.

zombies make those sounds when they fall, get caught in barb wire or take environmental damage. they seems to have some npc human sounds from arma II left in.

i find it hilarious when a zombie falls out of a tower in the balota tents and says, "gah! sheesh" .
