stimpen 0 Posted June 18, 2012 Like everytime I havent played the game for maybe a day and login my water is on red and after a couple of minutes starts to blink and I have to drink even if it was on the green scale when I logged out.It wont happen if I logout and login in like after an hour or two.Food doesent seem to be affected. Or is affected slower because you have to drink more often than you have to eat?Is this a feature of the game or a bug? Once I thought it was because I often logged out after running and was breathing heavy and maybe thought this would consume water while not playing just like you get uncunsious if you logout while in panic. But the last times I have logged out I have waited until I breathe normal but still water is on red the next day.
xazper 3 Posted June 18, 2012 You will continue to become hungry and thirsty in real time even after you log out. You will not lose blood however. Best advice is to not drink or eat before you log off regardless of hunger or thirst and then eat and drink as soon as you log in.It used to be you would use up any food or water in your inventory while offline but they changed that. Smig 0 Posted June 18, 2012 I was wondering this too. I haven't logged in for some time and I was already thirsty without any water when I logged out. Should I expect a dead character when I get back home?
Alexspeed (DayZ) 0 Posted June 18, 2012 I misinterpreted the thread title completly.
Serthure (DayZ) 5 Posted June 18, 2012 Your character won't die if you don't log in for a week or month, the hunger and thirst levels will only be on the red when you come back. Leave them there after you log in and you will start loosing blood (dying of thirst or hunger). If you log out, your blood will freeze. Your hunger and Thirst levels will remain on the red but no blood will be lost.

I suppose it won't if it follows the same rules as hunger and thirst, but I'm not sure.
