Doors making noise.

Recommended Posts

Just a thought.I think the doors should make some noise when opened/closed.The big metal doors and big red doors at fire stations especially. Its annoying that people can open these huge 15ft metal doors completely stealth.

I'm sure everyone has thought that at some point, it's very strange. Something that will no doubt be addressed eventually.

Unless they're going to make it so Zeds can hear you opening doors (and come to investigate) the door noises would mostly be just for flavour. Bonus fancy stuff isn't high priority.

There would be the odd occasion where you could hear a door and it would warn you of a player, but those occurrences are prbably few and far between seein as how most doors are left open all the time.

Something to look forward to I guess.

You should be able to open the doors at different speeds. The speed determining the sound - if any - thats created. Some doors would create a sound even if openned slowly (low percentage chance), while others would not create a sound when openned fast (low % chance). Would mix things up a bit and make you have to "think". Really it would all depend on the door and a risk:reward in your head as to what you wish to try.
